Kinder Pancakes
These are the sweet version of my fluffy American pancake recipe. I made these for Pancake Tuesday and OMG the are to die for. I may have been in a sugar coma for days, but was it worth it? Absolutely, yes. The toppings for this was just super simple melted kinder chocolate and chopped up chocolate with some token berries for good measure. Let me know if you make these and don’t forget to tag me if you do.
Ingredients
Makes 6-8 pancakes | 198 calories per pancake (no toppings)
160ml low fat milk
170g self raising flour
1 egg
2 tbsp vanilla sugar
4 kinder maxi bars (chopped up)
2 tbsp butter
For toppings: (253 calories per person if serving 3 people)
6 kinder maxi bars (melted)
1 kinder bueno bar (chopped up)
2 kinder bars (chopped up)
handful fresh raspberries
Method
In a large bowl whisk together, all the pancake ingredients (except the butter), until just combined.
In a large pan melt a little of the butter and add 2 tbsp of batter onto the pan. 2 tbsp = 1 pancake. Depending on the size of the pancakes this batter should make between 6-8.
Once the air bubbles are forming on the uncooked side of the pancake, you know it’s time to flip it.
Cook for another minute or 2 on the uncooked side.
Melt 6 of the kinder chocolate bars in the microwave until melted.
Chop remaining 2 bars into pieces and break up the kinder bueno too.
Stack the pancakes up and pour the melted chocolate over the top. Add the remaining toppings and serve. For the purposes of the photo I piled the pancakes into a stack of 5 but I generally serve 2 pancakes per person with some toppings.
