Chunky Kinder Cookies (10 cookies)

These cookies rarely last long in our house, such a nice treat and very moreish!! You can actually freeze the dough and cook the cookies on-demand, if you don’t want to be tempted to eat all 10 in one go.

Ingredients

  • 125g butter

  • 120g light muscovado sugar

  • 50g granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 300g self raising flour

  • ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • 200g Kinder Maxi bars

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180 (fan oven)

  • Beat butter and sugars in mixer for about 2mins

  • Add egg and vanilla and beat

  • Sieve flour and bicarb and add to mixer until dough formed

  • Break kinder bars into chunks and add in until incorporated into dough

  • Make into 10 even sized balls ( I weighed mine to roughly 90g each)

  • Put 3-4 cookie balls on lined baking trays and put in fridge for 45mins to an hour (freezer is ok too!) (they will spread too much in the oven if you bake them before putting them in the fridge/freezer so don’t skip this step)

  • No need to flatten before you put in the oven as they will spread themselves in the heat.

  • Bake for 12-15mins (until golden)

  • Leave for at least 20mins before eating (they are still cooking when out of oven)
